ANGUS South MSP Graeme Dey is urging people to give sport a try.
Mr Dey was speaking as last week marked exactly three years until the Commonwealth Games are held in Glasgow.
A keen runner himself, the MSP said: “Sport provides an enormous physical and mental boost to people who take it up, and can easily change habits of a lifetime.
“In Angus we not only have indoor sports centres and gyms but we have some of the finest outdoor landscape in the country, with a wide range of options for sport, including mountaineering, horse riding, world-class golf courses and kayaking to name but a few.
“There really is no excuse not to get active in our part of the country.”
