WITH the Clubsport Indoor Sixes Cricket League almost at the play-off stage, Forfarshire boosted their qualifying hopes with two emphatic wins at the Mayfield Sports Centre, Dundee, last Wednesday.

In their opening match of the night, they defeated Largo by 66 runs, then followed this with a 58-run victory over Rossie Priory, who had already booked a place in the last four.

Results: Rossie Priory 94, Arbroath 98; Forfarshire 102, Largo 36; Rossie Priory 30, Forfarshire 88; Arbroath 66, Largo 69.

Plough win through in Roof Truss Trophy

AFC PLOUGH secured a place in the semi-finals of the Forfar Roof Truss Trophy when they defeated Letham Hotel.

In the Forfar and District Sunday League, Cliffburn had a bad day, losing 14 goals without reply to Finavon.
