Ailsa wins Scottish order of merit

SEVENTEEN-year-old Ailsa Summers, Carnoustie Ladies, has won the over-16 girls’ order-of-merit in the Scottish Golf Academy Winter Series with 675 points from four events.

Clubmate Jessica Meek was third with 535 points.

In the final event at Troon Darley on Sunday, Ailsa tied for second in the girls’ section with a five-over 77.

Monifieth’s Heather Munro was fourth equal on 78 and finished seventh in the under-16 order-of-merit.
