Kingennie Fishery

THE FISHING at Forbes of Kingennie has been very good, with the water clearing in all the ponds resulting in some much better fishing.

The boathouse is now very clear, with lots of fish coming out on a number of methods. The top method has still been lures such as a yellow dancer, grizzlecat and hot head damsel.

Those fishing nymphs have still taken their fish, with bloodworm and black buzzers being successful, including T. Gordon, four for 28lb; and G. Wallace, two for 17lb.

The fishing on the Burnside has been steady, with most of the fish coming out on buzzers with the top colours being black and red: I. Lafferty, four for 10lb; and K Meldrum, four for 9lb.

The Woodside continues to fish very well, with most people using powerbait or the spinner. However most methods have been working, including for P. Wills, four for 8lb; and T. Morgan, two for 5lb.

The Bankside is also fishing very well, with fish coming out to most methods. Black buzzers and bloodworms have been very effective as well as black and green lures and hot head damsels. Successful anglers have included I. Barlow, four for 11lb, 12 caught and retired; and H. Whiteford, two for 6lb, 10 caught and retired.
