The fish in Carlogie Dam are rising well at the moment.
The most popular dry flies are CDCs and Shipmans Buzzer. Diawl bach and buzzers are also doing well sub-surface.

The Colin Fairweather Trophy is being held on Sunday, June 23, and places are still available.
The improvement in the weather has resulted in more consistent catches at Kingennie and water clarity is also improving.
The Boathouse Pool was discoloured earlier in the week but is slowly clearing. The Bitchard group landed 10 rainbows for 53lbs and a brown trout of 2lbs. Another beautiful brownie was taken during the week. This weighed 4lbs and was caught by Mr Gill.
The Burnside Pool was patchy for a few days but turned up trumps for Saturday’s competition. Overall six anglers took 18 fish for 32lbs and returned a further 18 fish. The eventual winner was Ian Barlow who took four fish for 8.5lbs and returned a further six. Buzzers and Sparkly Damsel were amongst the most productive flies.
Shaun Gowans showed his fly fishing skills to the full by catching a couple of decent rainbows followed by an excellent Ide in excess of 4lbs which was returned after being photographed.
Bankside Pool has been difficult during very sunny spells but in the right conditions has produced some fine returns. Last Tuesday 13 anglers had 37 fish on catch and release. These fell to a wide variety of patterns including buzzers, dries, Mallard & Claret, Hot Head Damsel and bloodworm. During the week Craig Dixon had 12 fish in one session using dries and hoppers. On Saturday the Brakes group took 22 fish for 54lbs and a further 19 fish were released.
The any legal method pool, Woodside fished well on Saturday (51 fish for 76lbs) and Sunday (19 fish for 30.50lbs). Green Powerbait accounted for most of these.
The Osprey is now a regular visitor to the resort and displays wonderful skills in catching its fair share of fish.
