VISITORS to Carlogie Dam included Keith Clark, Dundee, who caught four and kept three weighing 7lbs 4ozs on lures, and Wullie Reilly, Dundee, who caught and kept two weighing 4lbs 8ozs on lures.
Successful on catch and release were Ally Stewart, Dundee, 20 plus on lures; Dave Roy, Barnhill, eight on buzzers; Dave Thoms, Carnoustie, seven on buzzers; Ryan Dell, Arbroath, nine on bloodworm; Bruce Thomson, Arbroath, 10 on buzzers; Craig Macpherson, Arbroath, seven on bloodworm; Mr Clark, Forfar, seven on buzzers; Ken Forbes, Carnoustie, four on nymphs; Scott Watson, Muirdrum, four on lures; Ally Stewart, Dundee, 18 on lures; Bruce Thomson, Arbroath, 11 on buzzers; and G. Coyle, Arbroath, five on lures.
BRIGHTER weather towards the end of last week brought out more anglers and some good catches were recorded at Kingennie.
Clear water in the Boathouse Pool resulted in some interesting fishing with anglers often being able to see fish targeting their flies. Mr Walker took two fish for 11lbs and Mr Jarvis had two for 15lbs, the larger weighing 9.5 lbs.
Good results around the margins of the Burnside have been taken on very small nymphs and buzzers. Mr Small took four fish for 8lbs; Mr. Harvey landed two fish for 4.5 lbs.
Most of the fish on Bankside Pool have been taken in the first two bays. Craig Dixon returned 12 rainbows on small nymphs; Mr West took three for 8lbs and Jim Doyle took two for 5.75 lbs, returning a further four. On the Woodside Pool Mr Barclay took six fish for a total of 10lbs, while Mr Donaldson and Mr Whyte shared a 10-fish catch weighing 18lbs.
