City of Dundee Bowling Association

Monifieth edged a narrow one shot victory against Maryfield on Tuesday afternoon and were this week’s only local winners in the City of Dundee Bowling Association Senior League. Barnhill lost by eight shots to Strathmartine, and Broughty by nine shots to Muirhead and Birkhill.

Carnoustie BC

Carnoustie had mixed fortunes at the weekend. On Friday they hosted Lochlands in the Angus League, but were soundly beaten whilst on Saturday they travelled to Brechin to play Parkview and returned with a victory.

Tonight Carnoustie travel to play Baxter Park in the Angus League whilst on Saturday they are again on their travels to play Abbey Bowling Club. In the Angus Championships round one the Singles and the Triples got through with the Champion of Champions and Senior Fours just being pipped and in round two the Singles went through, but the Triples lost out.
