A BROUGHTY Ferry swimming club held another in their series of open water swimming challenges last week.
Ye Amphibious Ancients Bathing Association completed their Bridge to Bridge Championship last Thursday evening.
The one mile tide-assisted swim began beneath Dundee’s Rail Bridge and ended at the buoy next to the steps outside the Olympia Leisure Centre.
Immediately afterward medals and certificates were presented by lord provost John Letford to the hardy swimmers.
Club president Joyce McIntosh said: “The Bridge to Bridge went very well. We had a great turn out with 31 swimmers taking part.
“This swim was designed years ago to give people an opportunity to swim in the open water.”
Gary Hurr and Vicky Taylor were the fastest members with a time of 24 minutes 29 seconds and 27 minutes and 24 seconds respectively.
Non-members Anna Forgione and Enrique Flores clocked an impressive 24 minutes and five seconds and 25 minutes 18 seconds respectively.
