Carlogie Dam fishing

VISITING anglers to Carlogie Dam last week included Daren Phinn, Dundee, who caught 15 and kept four weighing 17lbs 8ozs on a cats whisker. His best was a rainbow weighing 7lbs 8ozs.

Other returns were: Jock Ewing, Aberdeen, caught 11 and kept four weighing 11lbs 4ozs on a WSW; Davy Wood, Aberdeen, caught nine and kept four weighing 10lbs 6ozs on a WSW; Walter Senior, Aberdeen, caught seven and kept four weighing 10lbs on a WSW; C. Anderson, Leven, caught eight and kept three weighing 7lbs on a damsel; J. Hennen, Methil, caught and kept three weighing 7lbs 4ozs on buzzers; Gorden Skelton, Arbroath, caught and kept two weighing 6lbs on a black tadpole; Cameron Steven, a 13-year-old from Friockhem, caught four and kept one weighing 2lbs 4ozs on an orange allpounder; W. Sinclair, Kirriemuir, caught and kept two weighing 4lbs on a lure.

On catch and release were Mr Buttler, Aberdeen, 17 on buzzers; Mr West, Aberdeen, 15 on buzzers; Steve McDonald, Newburgh, 10 on lures; Dave Thoms, Carnoustie, 14 on lures; Frank Ferrier, Arbroath, eight on lures; eight-year-old Masson Ferrier fishing with his father caught his first ever fish on lures; Wayne Scott, Dundee, 10 on buzzers; Colin Cameron, Dundee, five on buzzers; K. Mcintosh, Montrose, eight on lures; John Gilbert, Carnoustie, seven on dries; John Mckay, Dundee, four on lures; Les Gall, Dundee, four on buzzers; Jerry Walker, USA, two on buzzers.
