Carlogie Dam gets a visit from Pirates

THE PIRATES Fly Fishing Club visited Carlogie Dam with anglers from Fife.

Their returns were: Scott Page caught and kept five weighing 10lbs; Steve Cook caught and kept five weighing 10lbs; Allan Ballintyne caught and kept five weighing 13lbs; George Duff caught and kept five weighing 10lbs 8ozs; Colin Ballintyne caught and kept five weighing 10lbs; S. Brown caught and kept five weighing 10lbs; Robert Ballintyne caught and kept four weighing 10lbs; and K. Brown caught and kept one weighing 2lbs 8ozs.

Other returns were: Jim Tait, Forfar, caught 14 and kept five weighing 10lbs 8ozs on lures; C. Anderson, Fife, caught and kept four weighing 7lbs 8ozs on a green pea lure; John Hennen, Fife, caught and kept three weighing 5lbs 12ozs on a road runner.

Steve Craik, Arbroath, caught and kept four weighing 7lbs on an olive lure; D. Stewart, Finavon, caught and kept two weighing 17½ lbs on a green fritz, his best a rainbow weighing 15lbs; A. Saunders, Brechin, caught five and kept two weighing 8lbs 8ozs on a fritz; Mike black, Carnoustie, caught five and kept two weighing 7lbs 8ozs on lures; and R. Ferguson, Forfar, caught and kept two weighing 8lbs on a diawl bach.

On catch and release were Dave Roy, Barnhill, C & R 12 on buzzers, Colin Cameron C & R 15 on buzzers, Dave Marr, Brechin, C & R 15 on buzzers, Dave Simpson, Forfar, C & R 10 on lures.
