Carlogie Dam has been fishing well to a wide variety of flies from lures, buzzers and diawl bach to small dries.

Fishing at Forbes of Kingennie has seen the benefit of the heat with some huge hatches coming off.

There has been a lot of fish showing on the surface and the natural approach has been more successful than the lures.

The Bankside has seen the most fish showing on the surface with fish spread out all over the pond.

There have been fish getting caught on the dry fly with small suspender buzzers doing well. Buzzers and nymphs have been the most consistent method fished on the washing line with a small fab on the point.

Mr Thompson had a great morning taking seven fish in a couple of hours. Mr Cowan had a great evening session returning 15 fish on dries.

The water in the Boathouse has been quite clear and good sight fishing has been possible.

Most fish have fallen to lures with hothead damsels and yellow dancers being most popular. Young angler Shawn Gowans was delighted to land his new PB trout weighing 8lbs exactly.

The Burnside has held a wee bit of colour in the water but there have been plenty of fish caught.

Small lures have been the best choice with orange blobs and Montana’s doing well. Mr Dickson had a hectic session fishing buzzers and shuttlecocks returning 11 fish in four hours.

The Woodside has seen fish getting caught all over the pond and it seems that worms have taken over from powerbait as being the best method.

Mr Fleming took five fish for 9lbs fishing worms under a float.
