DEFENDING champions Stag opened up a one-point lead at the top of the league with an away victory over Corner last Thursday, September 8, while previous co-leaders British Legion were being held to a draw at home by All Stars A.

THE FINAL open singles competition of the summer was held in the Craw’s Nest on Monday night. The winner was Steve Yeaman, and the runner-up, John Burns.

Steve Yeaman had two 17 dart 501s.

The new season begins next week with the opening matches in the Alpha Boilers cup.

Monday’s fixtures: Alpha Boilers Cup, first round - 19TH Hole v Corner; Kinloch v Craw’s Nest; byes, All Stars and Stag A.

Semi-final draw for September 26: All Stars v 19TH Hole or Corner; Kinloch or Craw’s Nest v Stag A.

The final will be played on October 3.

OCCIDENTAL A and Vault now share the lead at the top of the Steve Clenaghan Auto-Centre League after victories over Anchor and Eagle respectively on Monday night.
