Carnoustie Darts League

GARY Neave and Stan Smith scored an 18-dart 501 on their way to winning this week’s open doubles competition at the 19TH Hole. The runners-up were Grant Dundas and Bobby Mackintosh.

Neil Findlay had a 104 check-out.

Monday’s competition in All Stars, 7.45 for 8 p.m. start. All welcome.

The league’s annual general meeting has been arranged for the Stag’s Head on Monday, August 29, at 7.30 p.m.

Carnoustie Ladies’ Darts League

THE FIRST competition of the Carnoustie Ladies’ Darts League’s new season will be the annual Trident Trophy charity event to be held in the Stag’s Head on Thursday, August 25, 7.45 for 8 p.m. start. Entry fee £1.50. Charity to benefit will be decided at a captains’ meeting prior to the competition at 7.30 p.m. All outstanding signing-on fees must be paid at this meeting.

Broughty Ferry Darts League

DEFENDING champions Occidental A were held to a draw by Doc Ferry’s on the opening night of a new season of the Steve Clenaghan Auto-Centre League.

Occidental and Eagle also shared the spoils, but there were wins for Gunners and Vault.

Results: Steve Clenaghan Auto-Centre League - Anchor 2, Vault 10; Doc Ferry’s 6, Occidental A 6; Gunners 7, Crown 5; Occidental 6, Eagle 6.
