Fourth place for ADAC men

SENIOR and under-20 Arbroath and District Athletic Club athletes travelled to Grangemouth on Saturday to compete in the Men’s Scottish Athletics League, Division One. Although depleted in numbers they commenced their race for the title by finishing in a commendable fourth place.

Saturday also saw the start of the club competitions with athletes of all ages putting their winter training to the test in a variety of disciplines. Many new personal bests were set just in time for the start of the district and national competitions calendar.

Two ADAC athletes will travel to London at the weekend to compete in the new London Olympic Stadium. Ellen Robertson will pull on her Scottish vest to compete in the triple jump at the UK Schools International and Michelle Durbidge will be in action in the British Universities Games throwing the shot-putt and discus.
