Girls win rugby ‘challenge’

THE GIRLS of Carnoustie Rugby Club recently threw down the gauntlet and challenged the players from the senior team to a game of rugby.

The girls had brought in two ringers from the junior section in the form of Drew Christie and Niamh Feighan. It wasn’t long before the ladies scored and this was repeated time and again.

Thanks were extended to George Taylor and Rod Bruce for coaching the girls, to Julie at Christie Photography for all the photographs that were taken and to Prime Signs for sponsoring the day and supplying the girls team with their strips.

The day was such a success that the girls are keen to carry on with their training on a regular basis. If anyone is interested in joining in, please contact the Rugby Club via the website for more details.
