Carnoustie gymnast Jennifer Brankin competed last weekend in the Hamburg International Gymnastic competition as a member of a Scots/German friendship team.
She was one of three members of Dundee gymnastics club 2k, and three from sv-GroBhansdorf who took part.
The competition was for Women Artistic gymnasts, aged 12 to 16 years and this year’s competition attracted 26 teams from 14 nations. The Scots/Germans were the youngest gymnasts entered. The two clubs, Dgc2k and GroBhansdorf, both attend summer training camps in Viborg, Denmark, where the young gymnasts met last year.
There were no medals for the girls but all agreed it was a great experience competing in such a prestigious event.
