Broughty Ferry Darts League

AN ENTRY of 37 contested the ‘180’s competition in the Vault on Sunday afternoon. The winner was Joe Lynch, Royal A, and the runner-up, Tam Grierson, Royal A.

The league’s annual general meeting will be held in the Occidental on Sunday, July 17, at 2 p.m. Fees for the 2011-12 season must be paid at this meeting.

Meanwhile, Vault’s home victory over Doc Ferry’s on Monday night puts them four points clear at the top of the Steve Clenaghan Auto-Centre Summer League.

Carnoustie Darts League (sponsored by Leisure Time Transport)

WINNER of the Carnoustie Gala men’s darts competition in the Corner on Monday night was Gary Merrilees, who defeated Steven Yeaman in the final.

Gary had an 18 dart 501 and a 136 check-out, and Stan Smith, a 122 check-out.

An open doubles competition was held in the Kinloch on Monday, June 20. The winners were K. Burns and L. Jamieson.

Next week’s fixture is in the 19TH Hole on Monday, July 4, and is open to anyone interested in taking part. Play starts 8 p.m.
