Katy leads Paul Lawrie tour

Katy McNicoll was third in the Paul Lawrie Scottish Ladies Open Tour 18-hole competition over the Duke’s Course, St Andrews, with a score of 72.

The Carnoustie player was two shots behind winner Heather Stirling, a professional caddie based near St Andrews.

This leaves Katy leader in the Paul Lawrie Scottish Ladies’ Open Tour’s money table and order of merit after 10 events with three 18-hole wins, at Trump International, Deeside and Downfield, as well as a 36-hole aggregate success in the combined Trump and Deeside scores.

She leads from Heather Stirling and another Carnoustie player, Jess Meek, who is now a student in America at the University of Missouri.
