Local club hosts three-way competition

Arbroath and District Athletics Club played host to several athletes, coaches and parents from Dundee Hawkhill and Perth Strathtay Harriers who had travelled to compete in their Saturday club competitions.

This is the second weekend that ADAC has hosted this event and indication from all concerned is the hope that this can be a regular occurrence.

Battling the blustery conditions did not deter the athletes who all enjoyed this inter-club competition which allowed them to gain experience and personal bests in events they do not always have the opportunity to compete in at league matches.

ADAC will be one of the sports representatives in the first Arbroath Community Sports Hub open day at the Arbroath Sports Centre tomorrow (Saturday).

Although this will see a change in the normal Saturday competitions, all athletes are welcome to attend and support the day which will start at 10 a.m. and finish at 2 p.m.
