As the swimming season draws to a close, Carnoustie Claymores sent a team to the final non-district gala last Sunday.
The Incas Sprint Meet was re-introduced this year after a number of years in abeyance to provide a platform for young swimmers to realise the first steps of future stardom in the aquatic world following the success of the Olympic Games. The event took place at Carnegie Leisure Centre, Dunfermline, where teams from across Scotland competed.
The Carnoustie Claymores ASC members had a successful trip, winning four medals. All swimmers also achieved personal best times in the 50m breaststroke and 100m individual medley races. Medal winners were Ryan Duncan who took third place in the 50m butterfly, fifth in the 50m freestyle and sixth in the 50m backstroke, and Dan Cattanach who was fifth in the 50m butterfly.
