At the weekend Arbroath and District Indoor Bowling Club gents were at home to Alloa in their latest game in the Scottish League.

Over the opening five ends the home team had established a lead of seven shots.

It was over the next few ends that Alloa started to close the gap and at the halfway stage they had narrowed the advantage to five shots. In the second half of the game Arbroath began to increase their lead and at the three-quarter stage had an 18-shot advantage.

This lead was maintained at the end of the game they were comfortable winners by 22 shots.

Once again the ladies were on their travels to Kilmarnock to play against Galleon in their latest Scottish League game.

Over the opening 5 ends the host club the home team heal an advantage of three shots.

Arbroath then had the better of the next five ends and forged ahead by three shots.

In the second half of the game Galleon then took over to lead and eventually won by 10 shots.

On Sunday the Senior Four of B. Robb, K. Stephen, I. Croll and K. Moir travelled to Inverurie to play in the National Senior Fours where they won to progress to the next stage of this competition.

Tomorrow (Saturday), the ladies are at home to Midlothian and the gents travel to Fraserburgh for their next league games.

On Sunday G.B. Anderson, B. Kindlin and J. Arthur travel to Aberdeen to take part in the Senior Singles and Senior Pairs.
