Carnoustie West End BC

WEST End have continued their winning start to the season with victories in the Angus league and their Saturday friendlies.

On Friday night West End played host to Forfar BC in the opening round of the Angus League first division. Despite fielding some very experienced players Forfar found the West Enders too hot to handle and lost out by 26 shots

On Saturday afternoon the Kinloch Street green played host to visitors from Invergowrie and pulled off a close-fought win by one shot. After the match both parties enjoyed entertainment provided by members of both clubs.

Dundee Wednesday

THE ANNUAL competitions of the Dundee District Wednesday Bowling Association began last week, but local clubs enjoyed only a small amount of success.

Broughty Castle reached the second round of the Ferguson Singles, and only Barnhill made it through to the last eight of the Guthrie Fours.

Monifieth and Broughty were eliminated from both competitions.
