Carnoustie Mini Rugby primary four/fives and primary six/sevens travelled to Anstruther recently to compete in the Waid Rugby Festival.

The competition was contested by very strong teams from Glenrothes, Howe of Fife, Dundee Wasps and Waid/Fire Southern.

The Carnoustie primary four/five team have finished runners up in most tournaments this year but turned the tables on the form book to win the Waid event comfortably. The primary six/sevens who are on fire this year also won their
tournament.

This event marked the end of a rugby season which has brought significant success for Carnoustie and has seen the club grow with unprecedented numbers at training.

The club extended thanks to all the boys, girls and parents for their support and commitment over the season and sponsors Andrew Shepherd Construction for investing in
local sport.
