Results: Wednesday, June 6 - Ferry Forfs Under-13s v Guthrie Park Under-13s; Thursday - Forfarshire v Dunfermline; Friday - Ferry Forfs Under-11s v Rossie Priory Under-11s; Sunday - Forthill 3rd XI v Arbroath United 2nd XI, all cancelled.

Forfarshire v Heriots

Forfarshire were left frustrated in their home Cricket Scotland League on Saturday as Heriots openers D. Ross (57) and K. Allen (26) took the score to 81 before Tony Weed held a chance off the bowling of Graeme Black.

Dale Sweeney removed Allen lbw in his first over and followed that with more of the same in his third, before a fifth wicket for him saw Weeraratna bowled out. He finished with excellent figures of 5 for 37 from nine overs.

Ashraf (57 from 51 balls) led a Heriots fightback in the later stages of the innings, and with 37 runs coming from the last four overs, Heriots recovered well to finish on 228 for 8 having been 148 for 7.

Brendan Ford (53 from 44 balls) and Aman Bailwal (33 from 53 balls) gave Forfarshire an ideal start with an opening partnership of 88 and 20 from Dean Fearn kept hopes of a home win alive, but with wickets falling regularly, they were eventually bowled out for 193 in the 44th over.

Perth Doo’cot v Forthill

BATTING first against Doo’cot Park in an S&PU Premier Division match on Saturday, three wickets for Patterson (3 for 16) helped reduce Forthill to 72 for 7, but Adam Hill (48) and Samir Hill (25) restored respectability to the total as Forthill headed for 151 all out.

Graeme Quinn made a rare appearance in the second team following recovery from a back injury, and he got into action with a nine-over spell that saw seven wickets, including a hat-trick, taken for just four runs, and only two runs from the bat, as Perth were bowled out for 51.

St Modans v Forthill 2nd XI

FORTHILL 2nd XI travelled to Bluebellwood Park, Bannockburn, to take on St Modans in a S&PU Division One match on Saturday. Jack Hogarth battled well for 45, and, along with 31 from Glenn Carnegie, saw 140 for 8 scored against a tricky home attack.

Matthews (74) top-scored for the home side before offering a catch to Steven Sim off the bowling of Abdulah Awan, but it was too late to halt the run chase and the game concluded in the 29th over.
