Snow stops play in indoor cricket

PLAY in the Clubsport/Dundee High School FP Indoor Sixes League at the Mayfield Sports Centre, Arbroath Road, Dundee, has been another casualty of the current spell of severe wintry weather.

As a result of travel difficulties caused by snow and ice, all four league fixtures due to be played last Wednesday (December 1), were postponed.

And with no sign of a let-up in conditions, the four matches scheduled for this week were also called-off.

To date, only four games have taken place. Kinloch sit top of the table with two wins out of two, while Forfarshire and Strathmore have one win each. Norwood drew a blank on the opening night.

Arbroath United, Cupar, Dundee High School FP and Rossie Priory are the other teams taking part, but all four have yet to play their first match.

Wednesday’s fixtures: 8 p.m. - Strathmore v Arbroath United; Dundee High School FP v Cupar: 9 p.m. - Cupar v Arbroath United; Dundee High School FP v Strathmore.
