Carnoustie BC

Carnoustie met Strathmartine twice last weekend and suffered the same fate on both occasions.

On Friday evening they travelled to Strathmartine and returned with a 12 shot defeat whilst on Saturday Strathmartine visited Maule Street and again defeated Carnoustie 12 shots.

Tonight (Friday) Carnoustie are at home to Lochlands in the Angus League whilst on Saturday they travel to Brechin to play Parkview Bowling Club.

Monifieth climbed back to second top of the City of Dundee Bowling Association Senior League with a 16 shot victory against Lochee on Tuesday afternoon. Broughty also improved their position by taking the spoils against Longforgan, but Barnhill’s recent progress up the table was halted by a 19 shot defeat from Muirhead and Birkhill.

Carnoustie West End’s earned the bragging rights in their Division One derby and stay in second spot, but Broughty drop to bottom. In Division Two it was Monifieth who were victorious in their local derby and move into third spot, but it was a loss for Barnhill and in Division Three a defeat for Carnoustie drops them to bottom.
