Crime writer launches Book Night

Celebrate World Book Night with crime writer Aline Templeton, the creator of DI Marjory Fleming, on April 23 at Broughty Ferry Library.

Aline will be giving fans an insight into her latest book ‘The Third Sun’ which is published on the same day.

Described by fellow Scottish crime writer Val McDermid as ‘the crime Czar of the Scottish small town’, Aline’s latest novel follows the tough but humourous Detective Inspector Fleming as she tackles a new murder case.

Mingled amongst the murky underwater of the latest murder, Fleming also has her chaotic family life to keep on track. The tale is sure to capture the imaginations of faithful fans and new readers alike.

Aline Templeton grew up in the East Neuk and was educated at St Leonards School, St Andrews and Cambridge University. She has worked in education and broadcasting and has written numerous stories and articles for national newspapers and magazines. Aline was a bench Justice of the Peace for 10 years and is a former Chair of the Society of Authors in Scotland, now living in Edinburgh. She is married with a grown up family.
