A POPULAR beer and music festival will be returning to Carnoustie next weekend.
The Kinloch Arms Music and Beer Festival 2012 kicks off next Friday with a line-up of bands and specialist beers.
The organisers have arranged for 16 bands over the weekend, featuring a host of local favourites such as The Declaration, Little Wolves, Boston Tea Party and Heidrum.
While all that is going on patrons will have the chance to sample from a selection of over 20 cask beers including Skullsplitter, Big Blonde, Flying Scotsman and Timothy Taylor’s Landlord.
There will also be a range of Continental lagers, fruit beers, ciders and flavoured vodkas. The popular cocktail service will return this year with strawberry rum daiquiris top of the menu.
Kinloch Arms proprietor Jonathon MacInally is certain the daiquiris will be a big hit. He said: “The strawberry daquiri will be the signature cocktail of this year’s festival.”
There will be a barbecue set up over the weekend, and fast food will be served until late each evening.
The Kinloch Arms Music and Beer Festival 2012 will run from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday, August 24, and 2 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, August 25, and Sunday, August 26.
Entry is free on Friday, but tickets are £5 per day for Saturday and Sunday, and are available from the bar and Groucho’s in Dundee.
