Mallet’s Palette in Broughty Ferry

FOR ADULTS of a certain age the name Timmy Mallett conjures images of early morning television and madcap humour.

However, an art exhibition opening in Broughty Ferry this month will go a long way to change that perception and help open up to the public the artistic talents of a man who spent most of the 80s hitting people with a large pink mallet.

History of Art was part of Timmy’s History degree from the University of Warwick and while he is better known for making us laugh he is also a very serious artist.

‘Mallette’s Palette’ will be exhibiting at Eduardo Alessandro Studios, 30 Gray Street, Broughty Ferry, from Saturday, May 19 to Saturday, June 9.
