ABBEY Theatre are doing their bit for charity with a romantic comedy later this month.
‘Looking for love’ by Raymond Hopkins, and produced by Brian Bruce, opens at the Abbey Theatre on Monday, March 25, and the playwright’s share of the proceeds will be donated to Multiple Sclerosis research.
The story concerns Molly Beale, who has been left at rock bottom after her husband of 21 years walked out on her.
Her best friend, Fiona, persuades her to try out the ‘six step miracle cure’ for abandoned wives, a seemingly foolproof plan which guarantees Molly will get her life back on track.
In fact it works better than expected, with two extra suitors in addition to her husband vying for her attention.
The twists and turns, intrigues and misunderstandings add up to an evening of hilarious merriment from Monday, March 25, to Saturday, April 6, excluding Sunday, March 31.
