Notice of election for Monikie and Newbigging Community Council

A formal Notice of Election of community councillors to the Monikie and Newbigging Community Council has been published by Angus Council.

A total of nine councillors are to be elected to the community council.

Anyone wishing to get involved and make a difference in the local community, can obtain a nomination pack by contacting the Returning Officer (Community Council Elections), Elections Office, Digital Reprographics Unit, Sylvie Way, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar, DD8 1AY or via the Interim Community Council Elections 2022 pages on the council’s website.

Completed nomination forms and candidates’ personal statements must be returned to the Returning Officer (Community Council Elections) at the address above by no later than 4pm on Thursday 15 December 2022.

If contested – a result of more than nine nominations being received – a Poll will be held, and voting will take place week commencing Monday, January 23.

To apply to be a community councillor you must be 16 years old or over, on the electoral roll and resident within the relevant community council area.
